Christa Hruska

Christa Hruska is an accomplished professional currently serving as a Board Member and Chair of the Patient and Family Engagement Sub-Committee at The Charles H. Best Diabetes Centre since April 2024. Hruska has extensive experience in health equity, health system integration, and strategic transformation, holding various leadership roles at Scarborough Health Network from April 2017 to the present, including Director of Health Equity and Health System Integration. Prior positions include Interim Director of Performance Evaluation Services & Planning and Manager of Performance Evaluation Services at Rouge Valley Health System, as well as a Technical Specialist in Management Decision Support at University Health Network. Hruska's career began at University Health Network from 2004 to 2010, followed by key roles at Lakeridge Health from 2010 to 2015. Academically, Hruska earned a Master of Health Science in Community Health and Epidemiology from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies (with a Minor in Management Studies) from the University of Waterloo.
