Faaiza Ali

Interim VP, Redevelopment at SHN

Faaiza Ali is the Interim VP of Redevelopment at SHN. Faaiza has over 15 years of experience in capital planning, project management, and mechanical engineering.

Ali began their career as a Mechanical Designer at MMM Group. Faaiza then transitioned to Project Manager - Mechanical Engineering at Smith and Andersen, where they managed large-scale projects for 7 years. In 2014, they took on the role of Project Manager - Capital Planning at The Scarborough Hospital. Faaiza was promoted to Manager of the Capital Planning & Project Management Office in 2015, and then Interim Director in 2016.

During their time at The Scarborough Hospital, Ali successfully managed several large infrastructure projects funded through the Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund. Faaiza also developed new design standards for finishes to improve the overall aesthetics in aging facilities.

In their current role as Interim VP of Redevelopment at SHN, Ali is responsible for leading the redevelopment of SHN's facilities. Faaiza is an expert in capital planning and project management, and has a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.

Faaiza Ali has a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto. Faaiza also has a certification from the University of Michigan in Lean Healthcare Certificate. In addition, they have a certification from the Canada Green Building Council - CaGBC in LEED AP. Finally, they have a certification from the Project Management Institute in Project Management Professional (PMP).

Their manager is David Graham, Interim President & CEO. They work with Glyn Boatswain - EVP, Chief Nursing & Allied Professional Executive, Alicia Vandermeer - President & CEO, SHN Foundation, and Michele James - EVP, People & Transformation.
