Alexis Fermanis has over 18 years of work experience in communications, marketing, and public relations. Alexis began their career in 2003 as an intern at 1050 ESPN Radio (WEPN-AM). In 2005, they became a Senior Communications/Web Specialist at the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation. In 2006, they moved to EES as a Communications Specialist. In 2007, they were the Communications Manager at NCIDQ. From 2010 to 2021, they were the Sr. Director of Marketing and Communications at Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), where they oversaw all internal and external communications for the association, including content development, design, production and project management of all major marketing and communication. Alexis is currently a Content Creator at Scary Mommy.

Alexis Fermanis has a diverse educational background. Alexis received a Broadcast Journalism degree from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, where they also studied Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, and Sociology. Alexis then went on to earn a Digital Marketing Analytics degree from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Additionally, they completed a Digital Media Management Certificate Program at Georgetown University. Fermanis also attended North Yarmouth Academy and the Society for Nonprofits & Learning Institute, where they earned a Certificate in Strat Planning, Governance, Marketing, Mission Mgmt, Social Entrep., Volunteer Mgmt, and Alliances.
