Sarah Bourassa has a wealth of experience in the communications and media industries. Sarah began their career in 2008 as a Communications Assistant at JVA Consulting, LLC, and then as a Public Relations Intern at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. In 2009, they worked as a Web Content Assistant Editor/Site Producer at Gaiam, and as a Public Relations and Communications Intern at Kutak Rock. From 2010 to 2014, they were a Marketing Coordinator and Marketing Assistant at Hogan Lovells. During this time, they also worked as a Digital Features Intern at NBC News, a Food Digital – Emerging Brands Editorial Intern at Scripps Networks Interactive, a Senior Audience Editor, a Lifestyle Associate Social Media Editor, and a Healthy Living Social Media Fellow at HuffPost. Most recently, they were a Senior Social Media Manager at Scary Mommy from 2022.
Sarah Bourassa earned a Master of Arts (MA) in Studio 20: New Media and Digital Innovation from New York University in 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in News-Editorial Journalism, with an emphasis in Public Relations and Spanish, from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2009.
