Jorge Alvarado

Jorge Alvarado has a diverse range of work experience in the information technology field. Jorge is currently working as the Director of Information Technology at Scelzi Enterprises Inc. since May 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Information Technology at E.M. Tharp, Golden State Peterbilt for almost eight years from July 2015 to May 2023. Before that, they worked as a Senior Technology Advisor at Good Hunter from February 2014 to July 2015. Jorge also has experience working at CACI International Inc, where they held the roles of Site Maintenance Lead from September 2012 to December 2013 and Lead Electronics Technician from February 2010 to September 2012. Additionally, they served as an M.I. Systems Maintenance, Integration and Repair Technician for the Virginia Army National Guard from September 2011 to January 2012 and for the Washington Army National Guard from April 2006 to August 2011, where they also served as the Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) Maintenance NCOIC from August 2007 to August 2011.

Jorge Alvarado has a diverse education history. Jorge obtained their Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University, where they studied Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance. Prior to that, they attended Big Bend Community College from 2003 to 2005, focusing on General Studies.

In addition to their formal education, Jorge has also obtained several certifications. Jorge completed the SSCP Cert Prep courses in Security Operations and Administration, Access Controls, and Risk Identification, Monitoring, and Analysis at LinkedIn in April 2023. Jorge also holds the CompTIA Project+ Certification, obtained in November 2022. Earlier certifications include CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA Network+ acquired in November 2021 and October 2021 respectively. Jorge obtained the IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL) from AXELOS Global Best Practice in August 2021 and obtained their CompTIA A+ certification in May 2021 from CompTIA.
