Darja Pollpeter, PhD

Darja Pollpeter, PhD is currently the Director Research at Scenic Biotech, leading a Rare Disease Program. Prior to this, Pollpeter held positions as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Senior Scientist at King's College London, where Darja applied techniques from various fields to study innate immune responses and HIV-1 replication. Darja also received a Marie Sklodowska-Curie International Incoming Fellowship during this time. Pollpeter's background includes a PhD in Biochemistry from Northwestern University, where Darja focused on innate immune response pathways to viral infections. Additionally, Darja has experience as a research assistant and teaching assistant at Leipzig University, working on biochemistry and cell biology projects. Throughout their career, Pollpeter has demonstrated a strong commitment to research and mentoring junior scientists.
