Brian Powell

Brian Powell, CRISC, has extensive experience in information security and risk management. Currently serving as a Payment Card Industry Certified Internal Security Assessor at Scentsy, Inc. since June 2015, Brian is responsible for auditing the Cardholder Data Environment and ensuring compliance with Payment Brand requirements. Prior to that, Brian worked as a Risk Analyst and IT Intern at the College of Western Idaho, where a focus on Digital Forensics and Information Security was emphasized. Brian's earlier roles include Manager at JB's Restaurant, where customer and employee relations were managed, and Financial Planner at Waddell & Reed, assisting clients in achieving their financial goals. Brian holds an Associate of Science in Information Security and Digital Forensics, an Advanced Technical Studies degree in the same field from the College of Western Idaho, and a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Education from Northwest Nazarene College.
