Adel Alakeely

Adel AlAkeely serves as the Medical Director specializing in Retina and Cataract Surgery at Magrabi Health since August 2021. In this role, Adel oversees complex procedures related to retinal detachment and secondary IOL implants for both pediatric and adult patients. Alongside this position, Adel is the President of the Saudi Squash Federation and a Board Member of the Saudi Retina Group and Oyouny جمعية عيوني الصحية. Responsibilities include leading the scientific committee for Retina at EPOMEC UAE and serving as a visiting retina surgeon at MD Clinic. Adel is also an Ophthalmology Board exam committee member for the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and has previously held academic roles at Alfaisal University. Educational achievements include an MBA from Boston University, a Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University, and an Ophthalmology Fellowship from King Saud University, among others.
