Dr. Galib Krdzalic

Dr. Galib Krdzalic is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering and innovation within the automotive sector. Currently serving as the CIO and VP of Engineering at Schaeffler since 2020, Dr. Krdzalic is a member of the Executive Board and has successfully developed and industrialized a steer-by-wire system. Prior to this role, Dr. Krdzalic was the Director of Global Engineering at Bosal, where oversight of electrified automotive towbar systems and autonomous driving sensors was a key responsibility. An earlier position at Akka Technologies involved setting up a new business unit, while experience at thyssenkrupp Presta AG included managing the development of electromechanical steering systems. Dr. Krdzalic began a career at Bosch, managing control unit projects, and also contributed to academia as a research scientist at Universität Stuttgart and conducted doctoral research at TU Dortmund University, earning a PhD in Electrical Engineering.
