Wassim Maaouia

Wassim Maaouia is a seasoned professional in electrical engineering and business management, currently serving as the Global Key Account Manager at Schaffner Group since September 2023. With a strong entrepreneurial background, Wassim co-founded AMLD Africa in January 2021, the first franchise of Applied Machine Learning Days in Europe, and has been actively involved as Co-founder and External Relations Responsible for Swiss Tunisian Network since September 2021. Previously, Wassim held the position of Key Account Manager for E-Mobility Europe at Schneider Electric, where responsibilities included developing global commercial strategies and driving eMobility projects. Experience also encompasses roles as a Smart Grid Sales Engineer at Antenna Foundation and Research Assistant at Nanyang Technological University, along with various internships and early career positions in prestigious institutions such as EPFL and ETH Zurich. Wassim holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from EPFL, completed between 2011 and 2017.
