Derek Cheung

Derek Cheung is a seasoned mobile engineer with extensive experience in building and leading mobile application development across various platforms. Currently, Derek serves as a Senior Mobile Engineer at SCHED, focusing on innovative feature development for event management applications on both Android and iOS since November 2019. In addition to this role, Derek is the founder of AquaHome, a mobile application designed to assist aquarists in managing their aquarium data. Concurrently, Derek leads the mobile engineering team at NFC, enhancing the mobile experience for an annual charity event. Previous positions include Mobile Engineer at HubSpot, where critical infrastructure projects were delivered, and Senior Android Engineer at Distilled SCH, managing feature development for a major online marketplace app. As a co-founder of DeadPixel, Derek contributed to creating bespoke applications for high-profile clients. Derek's educational background includes a B.A. specializing in Botany and Ecology from Trinity College Dublin.
