Otis Thomas is a highly experienced investigative professional with over 25 years in the field, currently serving as a Research Analyst at Scherzer International since April 2021. Prior to this role, Otis worked as a Private Investigator for SideBar Investigations from April 1992 to April 2021. Otis has also held positions as a Contract Background Investigator at OMNIPLEX World Services Corporation from June 2009 to July 2019, and as a Special Agent for the USDA from September 1986 to April 1992 and the U.S. Department of Commerce from January 1985 to September 1986, focusing on criminal investigations related to fraud, waste, and abuse. Otis began a career in law enforcement as a Marine in the United States Marine Corps from September 1976 to September 1979. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Applied Science in Criminal Justice/Police Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Security Administration from Northern Virginia Community College.
