Carlos Latorre has extensive work experience in the field of safety and quality management, with a strong focus on elevators and escalators. Carlos started their career as a Manufacturing Director at Industrias Michelena, S.L. from 1987 to 1992. Afterwards, they worked as an Organization Manager at Cintasa, S.A. in 1993. Carlos then joined the Schindler Group, where they held various roles such as Responsible for Product Engineering, Head of R&D Traction Machines and Safeties, and VP & Head of R&D Asia Pacific. Carlos also served as the Vice President and Head Global Safety, overseeing product safety and employee safety at a global level. Additionally, Carlos was the Safety and Quality Director Americas and the Technical, Safety and Quality Director Latin American Countries at Schindler. Carlos has a strong background in risk management, safety inspections, and implementing new safety initiatives. Their experience includes collaborating with international teams, localizing components in different countries, and building connections between operational management and headquarters.

Carlos Latorre obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad de Zaragoza, where they studied from 1982 to 1987. Carlos also pursued a degree in Management and Innovation from IMD, attending from 1999 to 2006.
