Maria I. Kopsova

Maria Kopsova is a lawyer currently employed at the European Court of Human Rights since May 2024 and has served as a Fast Advokat/Senior Associate at Advokatfirmaet Schjødt since May 2019. Maria gained valuable experience as a Legal Trainee for Multilateral Affairs at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in The Hague, where responsibilities included monitoring international legal institutions and participating in diplomatic delegations. Previous positions also include Judicial Policy Leader and Caseworker at Jussformidlingen, where Maria managed organizational training and handled various legal cases. Additional experience as a Debt Consultant at Kredinor and an intern at Advokatoriet AS further contributed to Maria's legal expertise. Maria holds a Master’s degree in Law from Dalhousie University - Schulich School of Law and a Master’s degree in Rettsvitenskap from the University of Bergen.
