Simon Durand is a seasoned structural engineer with extensive experience in bridge design and engineering. Currently serving as Project Manager and previously as Junior Structural Engineer at schlaich bergermann partner since April 2015, Simon has worked on various bridge and footbridge projects, including network-arch and cable-stayed bridges. Prior experience includes a role as Junior Structural Engineer at RFR, focusing on steel structures and complex geometries, as well as work as a stock controller at Mécachimie (Areva) and research officer at the National Technical University of Athens, where research on cable vibrations for cable-bridges was conducted. Simon holds a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Ecole nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and has further architectural education from École d'architecture de la ville & des territoires Paris-Est.
