John Kavula has a diverse background in community engagement, education, and service-focused roles. Currently serving as Registrar at Schlitz Audubon Nature Center since September 2022, John previously worked as a Community Engagement Coordinator at Journey House, Inc., and as an Elks Scholar Fellow at the Elks National Foundation. John's early experiences include tutoring high school students at Neu-Life Community Development and Marquette University Educational Opportunity Program, while also contributing as an Economic Development Intern at Waukesha County Center for Growth Inc. and as a valet at Progressive Parking Solutions. John began their career as a Head Lifeguard at Heron Lakes Country Club and holds a Master of Arts in Public Service and a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematical Economics from Marquette University, complemented by international study at Saint Louis University-Madrid.
