Koen Evers

Koen Evers has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Koen started their career at Bibliotheek Midden-Brabant, where they worked in the department of culture from 2005 to 2008. Koen then gained experience as an intern and freelancer at de Jongens Ronner in 2010 and 2011 respectively. In 2011, they established their own company, Evers + de Gier, where they worked as an Owner/Designer and served a range of clients until the present. Koen also co-founded Crew - Blockchain powered co-creation in 2018, focusing on incentivizing and rewarding the skills and networks of a community. Koen served as a Creative Partner at GetOn, a tool to help retailers improve their online presence from 2016 to 2019. Additionally, Koen worked at Schluss as a UX Lead from 2019, as well as at Zigzag Puppy Training App as a UX Lead from 2020 to 2022. Currently, they are a Senior Lead Product Designer and Design Lead at Altruistiq, starting in 2021.

Koen Evers pursued their education in Graphic Design from 2007 to 2011 at Willem de Kooning Academy Rotterdam, earning a Bachelor's degree. In addition to their degree, they obtained various certifications. In September 2021, they became a member of The Interaction Design Foundation. Then, in November 2021, they received a distinction in Information Visualization: Getting Dashboards Right from The Interaction Design Foundation. Koen further enhanced their skills by completing a course in Strategisch Brand Design from Beroepsorganisatie Nederlandse Ontwerpers (BNO) in April 2022. Most recently, in January 2023, they completed a Product Psychology Masterclass at Growth.Design.
