Monika Naranjo-Shepherd is a seasoned professional in multimedia storytelling and communications, with a robust career spanning over two decades. As the Director and founder of LUMA since 2007, Monika emphasizes the power of compelling narratives to engage audiences and build brands. Monika also serves as a sea-going multimedia journalist at Schmidt Ocean Institute, focusing on story development and multimedia storytelling, and as a communications consultant for Conservation International, where strategic communication planning and audiovisual production are key responsibilities. Previous roles include Field Producer for Tiempo Líquido, Audiovisual Production Professor at Universidad de Costa Rica, and Chief of Audiovisual Production at Fundacion MarViva. Monika's educational background includes a Master's in Screenwriting from the University of Bergen and a Diploma in Strategic Business Management from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency.
