Poushali Maji currently serves as a Program Scientist in Climate at Schmidt Sciences, beginning in February 2024. Previously, Poushali was an Impact Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from September 2019 to December 2023, where leadership of the circular economy workstream and research on sustainability challenges were integral responsibilities. This role involved collaboration with industry partners and MIT research groups. Earlier experience includes a Postdoctoral Associate position at MIT, where Poushali developed systems models for evaluating policy interventions related to sustainability challenges, and a Greenest City Scholar role in Vancouver, contributing to greenhouse gas emissions accounting frameworks. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Resource, Environment & Sustainability from The University of British Columbia, an MSc in Sustainable Energy Systems from The University of Edinburgh, and a BSc (Hons) in Physics from St. Stephen's College, Delhi.
