Shannon Forrey

Shannon Forrey is a seasoned professional in science communications and digital media, currently serving as the Science Communications Manager at Schmidt Sciences since March 2025. Previously, Shannon held the position of Director of Social & Digital Media at OceanX, where the focus was on ocean exploration and communication. Shannon has extensive experience at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, managing Earth Science Public Engagement and leading the @NASAEarth social platforms, overseeing communication for significant NASA Earth science missions. Earlier roles include directing digital strategy and audience development at The Salvation Army, and art direction positions at Banzai Research Institute and Enne Bi Communications. Shannon holds a Master of Science in Space Studies with a focus on Space Law/Policy and Human Factors from the University of North Dakota and a Bachelor of Science in Advertising from The Art Institutes.
