Simran Lekhwani

Simran Lekhwani is a dedicated computer science student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, expected to graduate in May 2025. Currently serving as a Firmware Engineer Intern at Schneider Electric since August 2024, Simran has previously held multiple roles including Software Developer at BUILD UMass, where significant contributions included API development and implementing optical character recognition. Simran's experience also spans working as an Undergraduate Course Assistant and Research Assistant Intern at the LASER Lab, focusing on algorithm optimization and machine learning. Notable projects include enhancing query retrieval efficiency as a Software Engineer with ISO New England Inc. and applying machine learning techniques in biomedical research. Simran has also taken leadership roles, such as Technical Director for TechTogether Seattle, showcasing strong skills in web development and team collaboration.
