Joshua G. Konecky

Joshua Konecky is a mediator who develops pathways to resolution through diligent preparation, thoughtful evaluation, effective communication, and steady follow-through. Before launching his mediation practice, Josh spent over twenty-five years litigating and managing complex civil litigation in the state and federal courts in California and across the country. He has significant experience in all facets of civil litigation, including mediation, trial, and appeal, and has sat on two juries as well.

Josh is currently on the mediator panel for the Court Mediation Program of the Alameda Superior Court and has been a Settlement Conference Officer for the San Francisco Superior Court since 2011. Josh has facilitated settlements in a wide variety of civil cases, including wage and hour, employment discrimination, contract disputes, personal injury, insurance coverage, and landlord-tenant disputes (commercial and residential).

Josh received his J.D. from New York University School of Law (1995) and his undergraduate degree at Haverford College (1990). He was a U.S. Fulbright Scholar in 2002 and earned his formal mediation training at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law in 2010.

Josh is available for video and in-person mediations. In-person mediations can be conducted at his firm’s offices in either Emeryville, CA, or downtown Los Angeles, CA.
