Alejandro Medellin Garzón

Director Of Quality International Region at Schoeller Allibert

Alejandro Medellin Garzón has a strong background in quality assurance and process improvement. Alejandro started their career in 2008 as a Product Inspection Engineer at Compañia Colombiana Automoriz MAZDA, where they coordinated and controlled inspection functions for various Mazda models. Alejandro then moved on to become a Product Inspection Chief at Compañia Colombiana Automotriz Mazda S.A, where they coordinated inspection activities and developed inspection plans. In 2014, they joined MAZDA DE COLOMBIA S.A.S as a Vehicle Logistics Chief, overseeing the checking-in, enlistment, and delivery of vehicles to dealers, as well as cost calculations for damages during transportation. In 2016, they worked as a Process Engineering Specialist at Blacklane GmbH, where they built new processes and standardized best practices. Alejandro then interned at Mazda Motor Europe in 2017, analyzing parts and accessories pricing and market conditions. Since 2018, Alejandro has been working at Schoeller Allibert as a Quality Manager, responsible for coordinating quality assurance activities, executing inspections, analyzing KPIs, and conducting root cause analysis. Alejandro recently transitioned to the role of Director of Quality International Region in April 2021.

Alejandro Medellin Garzón holds a Master's degree in Global Production Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin, completed between 2015 and 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, where they studied from 2003 to 2008. Alejandro also has a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Technische Universität Berlin.
