Rebecca Silverstein

Rebecca Silverstein is an accomplished Education Editor with extensive experience in early childhood education, currently overseeing educational materials at Scholastic since June 2018. Silverstein's role includes coaching editors, conducting market research, and developing lesson plans and educational resources. Previously, as a Senior Editor, Silverstein was responsible for writing and conceptualizing content for prominent early childhood magazines and represented Scholastic at national conferences. Additional experience includes teaching at various educational institutions, including The Packer Collegiate Institute, where collaborative curriculum development and individualized student support were key focuses. Silverstein holds an M.S. Ed. from Bank Street College of Education and a BA, summa cum laude, in Journalism and Sociology from Emory University. Prior to education, Silverstein gained experience in branded entertainment and freelance journalism.
