Tara Welty

Tara Welty currently serves as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Teaching Solutions at Scholastic, a role that involves leading the strategic direction of editorial design, production, operations, and sales for a variety of educational products. With a career at Scholastic beginning in 2009, Tara has held several key positions, including Vice President and Editorial Director, where responsibilities included managing the Teaching Resources Group and acting as editor-in-chief for Scholastic Teacher and Scholastic Art magazines. Prior to Scholastic, Tara freelanced as a writer and editor, collaborating with various curriculum publishers. Educational qualifications include an M.A. in Playwriting from New York University, a B.A. in Theater from the University of Central Florida, and a Master's Degree from NYU Gallatin.
