Virginia Avella has over 25 years of experience in supply chain management and demand planning, primarily at Scholastic, where the current role is Associate Director of Demand Planning Education Solutions. In this capacity since November 2011, Virginia collaborates with various teams to create forecasts for new programs, manages item setups, and reviews demand forecasting histories. Prior to this, Virginia held multiple leadership positions within Scholastic, including Senior Manager/Process Lead Supply Chain Strategy and Senior Manager Inventory Planning, where significant contributions were made to process improvements, inventory management, and cross-departmental collaboration. Virginia's educational background includes a Master’s in Early Childhood Education from New Jersey City University and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Communications and Political Science from Rutgers University's Douglas College.
