Steven Schonfeld

Steven Schonfeld founded Schonfeld and its predecessors. He founded the entity as a family office to manage his own personal investments and over time, opened the investment program to outside investors. The firm’s investment performance, coupled with the addition of outside investors, is what has driven the substantial growth of the asset base. Today, Steven serves as Non-Executive Chairman, where he provides general guidance and consultation with respect to the firm’s initiatives. An acknowledged leader in the field of securities trading, he has been managing hedge fund investments since 1998. Mr. Schonfeld earned a B.A. degree in Business Administration from Emory University in 1981.
