Elaine Meyer has extensive experience in the field of special education, currently serving as the Special Education Administrative Coordinator, District PBIS Coordinator, District SWIS Coordinator, and School Psychologist at the School City of East Chicago since August 2009. In this role, Elaine is responsible for conducting psychoeducational and social/emotional assessments for students from Pre-K to 12th grade, as well as for college students seeking accommodations. Previously, Elaine was a Special Education Teacher at Lake Central School Corporation from August 2005 to June 2009, where responsibilities included leading special education initiatives and teaching 6th to 8th grade in a collaborative setting. Earlier, Elaine worked as an Educational Diagnostician at Galveston ISD from August 2001 to July 2005, conducting various assessments and collaborating with educational stakeholders. Elaine holds a School Psychology Specialist degree from Valparaiso University and a Master of Education in Special Education from Lamar University.
