Lernell James

Lernell James is an experienced educator and student advocate currently serving as a Student Learning Advocate for Independent School Districts 197 & 200, where responsibilities include case managing students and contributing to their daily planning and development towards achieving high school diplomas and post-secondary education. In addition to this role, Lernell James has been the Head Basketball Coach for the Minnesota State High School League since 1998, showcasing a long-standing commitment to athletic leadership. Previously, Lernell James held the dual roles of Student Learning Advocate and Head Boys Basketball Coach at ISD 197 from 2005 to 2014. Educational background includes attendance at the University of St. Thomas from 1991 to 1994.
