Amanda Manke has over a decade of experience in education, currently serving as an ELL Specialist Teacher for School District No. 48 (Sea to Sky) since October 2017 and also holding a TTOC position. Previous roles include Account Manager at Marwick Internet Marketing and various teaching positions at The Westside Schools, Jun Wu Elementary School, Broadwater Primary School, West Preparatory Public School, and Grenoble Public School, where Amanda developed expertise in curriculum design, classroom management, and cross-curricular instruction. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Education in Primary Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from York University, as well as a degree in Interior Design from Sheridan College.

Nestled in the recreation-rich Sea to Sky corridor, just 45 minutes from Vancouver, our school district serves a population of 5,000 students. We are honoured to be teaching within a number of culturally vibrant communities, from Furry Creek to D'Arcy, including the main centres of Squamish, Whistler, and Pemberton. The District also serves six Aboriginal communities of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw, Lil'wat Nation, N'Quatqua, Samhquam Ucwalmicw, Skatin Nations, Xa'xtsa as well as the Metis, Inuit and Off-Reserve Aboriginal Nations.
