David Cotey

David Cotey has over 20 years of work experience in the field of communications and public relations. David is currently the Director of Communications And Public Relations at the School District of New Berlin, where they provide counsel to the district's superintendent and cabinet, oversees all district communications, and serves as the spokesperson. Prior to this role, they were the Coordinator of Communications and Public Relations at the same district.

Before joining the School District of New Berlin, Cotey worked as the Communications & Public Relations Coordinator at the Whitnall School District, where they served as the spokesperson and provided communication counsel to the district's superintendent, principals, and school board.

Cotey also gained experience in communications while working as a Communications Specialist at Marquette University, where they wrote press releases and stories for various university publications.

Additionally, they worked as a Local Editor for Greenfield Patch and Greendale Patch, where they managed the content and look of the online news and community websites.

Cotey began their career as a Senior Sports Reporter at NOW Newspapers, where they covered multiple communities and high schools. David also played a role in developing department policies and guidelines.
