Matthew Braun

Matthew Braun is an experienced educator and coordinator currently serving as the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme Coordinator and Middle Years Math teacher at The School District of Philadelphia since February 2008. With a focus on seventh and eighth grade math instruction in an urban setting, Matthew has a diverse background that includes coaching the 18U High School ice hockey team for the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation from 2007 to August 2017, where responsibilities also involved academic support and life skills programming. Prior experience includes teaching in a Therapeutic Emotional Support Classroom at the Children's Crisis Treatment Center, where Matthew implemented Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and behavioral interventions. Matthew holds a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Holy Family University, a Master of Science in Elementary Education and Teaching from Gwynedd Mercy University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
