Michael Lowe

Michael Lowe has extensive experience in educational leadership, currently serving as School Principal and Director of Early Literacy for The School District of Philadelphia since September 2001. In these roles, Michael Lowe creates and oversees systems for effective literacy instruction in under-performing schools and manages a team of Early Literacy Specialists. Previous positions include Academic Coach, where responsibilities included updating district mathematics curriculum to Common Core standards, and participation in the Common Core Curriculum Writing Team. Michael Lowe's career began in finance, working as a Trust Operations Officer at PNC from March 1992 to February 2001. Michael Lowe holds a Superintendent Letter of Eligibility from PennWest California, a Master's in Educational Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor's in Accounting and Finance from Philadelphia University.
