Spencer Engel

Spencer Engel has extensive work experience in various education and technology roles. Starting in 2003, they worked as a Career and Technology Education Specialist in Broward County Public Schools until 2013. From 2011 to 2016, they served as a Human Resources and Skills Development Consultant at Facilitators Group, Inc. Following that, they worked as the Education Specialist and Director of Education Programs at REACH Education Solutions/YDP from 2016 to 2018. Most recently, Spencer was an Intern Principal, Technology Lead, and Instructor at The School District of Philadelphia starting in 2018. In this role, they assisted school staff with IT needs, cultivated positive relationships with stakeholders, conducted classroom evaluations, organized workshops, and designed curriculum for students. Overall, Spencer has a strong background in education, technology integration, and leadership.

Spencer Engel holds a Bachelor's degree in Business/Managerial Economics from Binghamton University, which they obtained from 1996 to 1999. Spencer also has a Master's degree in Management Information Systems, General from Stony Brook University, which they completed from 2000 to 2002. In 2011 to 2012, Spencer obtained a Certification in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from Miami Dade College. Spencer further enhanced their skills with a Certification in Digital Marketing from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which they completed in 2016 to 2017. Currently, Spencer is pursuing a Master's degree in Educational Leadership at Holy Family University, expected to be completed from 2021 to 2023. In addition to their degrees, Spencer has obtained certifications, including K-12 Instructional from the Pennsylvania Department of Education in June 2018, Digital Marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2016, Florida Educator Certification from the Florida Department of Education in June 2003, and Accredited Tax Preparer (ATP) from Campaign for Working Families, Inc. in December 2023.
