Stefan Mend

Stefan Mend has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Stefan is currently working as the Director of Data Governance at The School District of Philadelphia since November 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Associate in Strategic Analytics at the District Performance Office.

Before joining The School District of Philadelphia, Stefan worked at the Public Health Management Corporation as a Project Manager in the Research & Evaluation Group. Stefan also has experience as a Research Associate and Information Systems Specialist at Research for Better Schools.

Stefan's earlier work experience includes being the Data Operations Manager at Nurture thru Nature, a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Rutgers University, and a Research Assistant for the Bridge to Employment Program Evaluation Team at Rutgers University. Stefan has also worked as a Research Intern at RatSWD - German Data Forum and as an Intern at Transparency International Germany.

Stefan Mend holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Planning and Public Policy from Rutgers University. Stefan also has a Master of Arts degree in Politics and Management from the University of Konstanz. Additionally, they hold an MPAP degree in Public Affairs and Politics from Rutgers University.
