Tangela McClam

Tangela McClam has extensive experience in education, currently serving as a Principal and Teacher Effectiveness Coach at the School District of Philadelphia since September 2007. McClam has focused on improving teacher effectiveness and student achievement through collaboration, data analysis, and the implementation of a diverse and technology-rich curriculum. Previously, McClam held roles such as Middle Years Math Teacher, Assistant to the Principal, and 5th Grade Teacher, where responsibilities included analyzing testing data, developing instructional strategies, and leading professional development initiatives. McClam began a career in education as a Literacy Intern in 2000, gaining valuable experience in early literacy instruction. Academic credentials include an EdM in Educational Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University, an M.S. in Elementary Education from Saint Joseph's University, and a B.A. in Political Science/Philosophy from Rosemont College.
