Luisin Merida is an experienced educator with a strong background in teaching and technology coordination. Currently a teacher for the School District of University City since August 2018, Luisin also serves as the Technology Coordinator at La Salle Middle School since August 2015. Prior roles include being a lead teacher for sixth grade at Chicago Jesuit Academy, where Luisin focused on enhancing standardized test scores through effective math instruction. As a lead middle school teacher at Epiphany Catholic School, Luisin managed a middle school team and facilitated various school activities. Additionally, Luisin contributed as a member of the Inner-City Teaching Corps with The Alain Locke Initiative. Educational credentials include an Accelerated Teacher Certification from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Studies with a minor in Latin American Studies from Gonzaga University.
