Marty Sarsany, SPHR, has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Marty began their career in 1983 with Wyatt Cafeterias, Inc. as an Assistant General Manager before moving into a role as a Recruiter and HR Manager, where they handled the recruitment, onboarding, and training of entry-level restaurant management. In 1990, they became the Human Resources Manager for Wyatt Cafeterias, Inc.'s cafeteria warehouse and distribution center, overseeing staffing, training, safety, and compliance.
From 1992 to 1993, Marty worked as the Corporate Safety Director for Wyatt Cafeterias, Inc., where they developed and managed a company-wide safety program. Marty subsequently joined Morrison Restaurants, Inc./Ruby Tuesday, Inc. in 1993 as a Recruiter and later became the Regional Human Resources Director for Ruby Tuesday Inc. In 1998, they transitioned to AppleILLINOIS L. L. C., serving as a Regional HR Manager for over 75 Applebees' restaurants, managing a large workforce and working closely with executives and supervisors.
Most recently, Marty worked at School Health Corporation since 2014, initially as an HR Manager and later as the Human Resources Director. In this role, they oversaw all HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, policy development, legal compliance, payroll, safety, employee engagement, training and development, and performance management.
Throughout their career, Marty has consistently demonstrated their expertise in HR management, with a focus on recruitment, training, and compliance.
Marty Sarsany, SPHR pursued their Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, graduating in 1983. In December 2008, they obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
