Kathy Nielsen

Kathy Nielsen is an experienced educator and academic tutor with a strong commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals through personalized instruction. Since September 2019, Kathy has been self-employed as an academic tutor, focusing on building genuine relationships and leveraging a growth mindset. Kathy has been a teacher at School Of The Madeleine since November 2003, contributing to student development in a classroom setting. Prior experience includes serving as a research associate for the Collaborative Study on the Genetics of Alcoholism from 1992 to 1998. Kathy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education, English, and Journalism from the University of Iowa, earned between 1984 and 1987.
