Adriana Valdez Young

Adriana Valdez Young serves as the Associate Chair and Faculty Lecturer at the School of Visual Arts, where responsibilities include teaching Thesis Development, Research Methods, and Professional Practices, while also nurturing culture and inclusive design practices within the MFA Interaction Design program. Additionally, Adriana holds positions as Inclusive Research Advisor at SOUR and Principal Researcher at We Like Research, focusing on people- and planet-centered innovation. Past roles include Head of Community at 3x3, Urban Design Strategist at Openbox, Assistant Professor at Parsons School for Design, and Head of Cities at Stae. Educational credentials include an MSc. in City Design and Social Science from The London School of Economics and Political Science, a B.A. in History from Brown University, and a Master's degree in Development Economics and International Development from The New School.
