Greg Nelson

Director of Brand Research and Communication at School Outfitters

Greg Nelson has worked in a variety of roles since 1997. Greg'scareer began as a Graduate Assistantship - Operations Manager of the Postural Stability Laboratory at the University of Cincinnati, where they coordinated research activities and conducted statistical analyses. Greg then moved on to a Graduate Assistantship - Psychology Instructor and a Graduate Assistantship - Laboratory Proctor, where they tutored in statistics and technical report writing. In 2000, they worked as a Usability Researcher at Xerox and as a Usability Research Intern at SBC Global Technology Resources Inc. In 2004, they became a Business Owner of a Young Rembrandts franchise, managing 14 part-time employees. From 2013 to 2016, they were a Freelance UX Researcher and Customer Experience Consultant, offering freelance help with Excel data management, statistical analysis, and research consulting. In 2016, they also became a Self-Employed Freelance Consultant - Research. Finally, in 2018, they began working as an Adjunct Psychology Instructor at Sinclair Community College. At School Outfitters, they have held the roles of Director of Brand Research and Communication, Human Factors Engineer, Web Analytics Manager, and Web Analyst.

Greg Nelson obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Miami University in 1992. Greg then went on to receive a Master of Arts in Psychology with a Human Factors Emphasis from the University of Cincinnati in 1999. In 2017, they obtained a certificate in Internet of Things: Business Implications and Opportunities from MIT Sloan Executive Education. In 2018, they obtained a Vibrant Learning Environments Certificate from the Association for Learning Environments.
