Sebastian Öblom

Sebastian Öblom began their career in 2001 as a Consultant for Manpower. In 2006, they became a hacker for the OpenID Community, a technical coordinator for Barnraiser, and CTO for JamesList. From 2013 to 2016, they were CTO/Lead Developer for JamesEdition. During this time, they were involved in all parts of development of the site, such as the logics behind faceted navigation, search, feeds (dataprocessing), backend and frontend speed, mobile version, onsite SEO, etc. In 2016, they became a Senior Full Stack Developer for HYPERVALLEY AB, where they spent most of their time helping the company mature their codebase and improve their technical workflow such as deployments and infrastructure. Since 2018, they have been Tech and Cofounder of SchoolParrot, a review & listing platform for schools and education, currently in Sweden, South Africa, New Zeeland and United Kingdom with about 100K schools, from pre schools to Universities.

Sebastian Öblom attended the University of Gävle from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Computer Science.
