Dr Andreas Knierim has over 20 years of work experience in various roles related to supply chain management, logistics, and operations. Dr Andreas is currently the Head of Global Supply Chain Management at SCHOTT. Prior to this, they worked at Robert Bosch GmbH as a Senior Logistics Consultant and held positions such as Vice President of Demand Planning and Logistics for Latin America and Director of Logistics for EMEA. Dr Knierim also served as the Senior Vice President of Operations at The Gores Group, where they were responsible for global customer interface and logistics. Dr Andreas started their career at Siemens, where they held roles including Director of Supply Chain Management and Head of New Product Introduction and Test Engineering. Dr Knierim's early work experience includes serving as a Hardware and Software Engineer at Bruker AXS, where they were involved in the development of analytical X-ray devices. Overall, they have a strong background in supply chain management and logistics across multiple industries.
Dr Andreas Knierim received their Diploma in Physics from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in 1992. Dr Andreas went on to earn their Doctor of Sciences degree in Physics from the same institution in 1997.
