Mila Zeijen

Mila Zeijen is an experienced project leader and regional coordinator in the arts sector, currently working at Schouwburg De Lawei since December 2021, overseeing the regional Kunstbende trajectory in Friesland. Previously, Mila served as a supporting lecturer in Cultural Policy at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, guiding master's students in their research on cultural themes post-COVID and sustainability. Mila conducted research for Gemeente Groningen on the sustainability of the visual arts climate, and held the position of Head of Marketing and PR at Noordelijk Scheepvaartmuseum, where communication strategies were developed. Mila’s academic background includes a research master's in Cultural Leadership and a master's degree from Università degli studi Roma TRE, with earlier education in Arts, Culture, and Media from University of Groningen and VWO at Stedelijke Scholengemeenschap Nijmegen.
