Donald Gateley

Donald Gateley currently serves as Regional Director for Scotland & Northern Ireland at Schroders Personal Wealth, overseeing the Scotland region for UK Remote Advice & Direct Investment since June 2019. Additionally, Donald holds the position of Chair of the Wealth Management Group at Scottish Financial Enterprise since October 2020. Previous experience includes serving as a Trustee for the Bank of Scotland Foundation from March 2016 to May 2019, and a lengthy tenure at Bank of Scotland (part of Lloyds Banking Group) from May 2000 to May 2019, where Donald held various leadership roles including Head of Private Banking for Scotland and Director of Joint Ventures, Investment Management. Donald was also a Non-Executive Director at BDL Ireland from September 2012 to September 2016. Educational credentials include a BA (Hons) in Economics from Heriot-Watt University, obtained between 1983 and 1987, along with secondary education at the High School of Dundee from 1977 to 1983.
