Claire Smith has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Claire started their career at Macquarie Group, where they worked in various roles, including Mortgage Operations and Funding Analyst. Claire then moved on to become a Derivatives Structuring Manager, responsible for structured products with equity derivative underlyings. Later, they became a Fund Structuring and Portfolio Manager at Macquarie Asset Management, managing new product development and maintenance for bespoke structured products. In 2014, they joined Schroders as an Investment Director, where they focused on product structuring and fundraising for infrastructure debt and equity platforms. Claire also served as the Alternatives Director, working with institutional and intermediary clients across private debt, private equity, and real estate. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Private Assets Sales, Australia at Schroders.
Claire Smith studied Economics at Macquarie University from 2000 to 2002.
