Daniel Barley

Daniel Barley has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries and roles. Daniel has worked at Schroders as the Head of Corporate Reporting and Financial Communication, where they led corporate communications efforts and maintained key corporate communication channels. Prior to that, they were a Senior Manager of Corporate Communications, overseeing internal communications during the Covid-19 pandemic and managing the growth of an intranet platform. Daniel also worked as a Senior Change Communications Lead, developing and implementing change communications strategies for a Global Technology transformation program.

Before their time at Schroders, Barley worked as a Strategic Communications Consultant at their own company, Dan Barley, where they applied creative thinking to strategic problems for their clients. Daniel also worked at Willis Towers Watson as an Employee Engagement and Internal Communications Consultant, providing strategic counsel and delivering change and communication programs to improve business performance.

Earlier in their career, Barley held positions such as Creative Strategy Lead at the Central Office of Information (COI), where they focused on branding, creative strategy, and employee and stakeholder engagement. Daniel also had a secondment to the Strategic Communications Unit at the Prime Minister's Office in the Cabinet Office, where they played a role in coordinating government announcements.

Barley's early career experiences include roles at Central Office of Information, EdComs, The Rapport Group, Edexcel, and Aspen Publishing, where they served in various editorial and project management positions.

Daniel Barley completed their Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Design from Central St Martins from 1991 to 1994. In 2016, they also obtained certification in Leading SAFe 4.0 from Scaled Agile, Inc.
