David Rees

David Rees is a seasoned economist specializing in emerging markets, currently serving as a Senior Emerging Markets Economist at Schroders since August 2020. Prior to this role, David worked as a Director - Emerging Markets Strategist at Bank J. Safra Sarasin Ltd from January 2018 to August 2020, where the focus was on fixed income strategies across major emerging markets. Previous positions include Senior Economist at Huawei Technologies and various roles at Capital Economics, including Senior Markets Economist, Emerging Markets Economist, and Research Assistant from January 2006 to February 2017. David holds two master's degrees in Economic Policy and Management from the University of Strathclyde and Finance from Leeds Beckett University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Leeds.
