Parimal Kumar

Parimal Kumar is an experienced finance and technology professional currently serving as Head of Derivatives Management and Chief Operating Officer, Derivatives at Schroders since February 2022. Previously, Parimal held the role of Chief Operating Officer and Software Engineer at River and Mercantile Derivatives, where responsibilities included managing an operational environment with over £25 billion in derivatives across 120+ clients. Parimal has a strong background in software engineering, having developed bespoke software for interest rate derivatives and liability hedging while also taking on interim leadership roles, including Chief Technology Officer. Earlier experience includes positions at XCap Securities Ltd as a Corporate Finance Executive, Partners Capital LLP as a Software Engineer, and in various corporate finance roles at Seymour Pierce and Deutsche Bank, where Parimal gained expertise in IPOs, M&A transactions, and financial modeling. Parimal holds a 1st Class BSc in Mathematics & Computer Science from the University of Bristol and has completed a Certificate in Quantitative Finance.
