Casey Brock

Casey Brock is a highly experienced scientist specializing in materials science, currently serving as a Senior Scientist II at Schrödinger since May 2019. Prior to this role, Casey held positions as a Senior Scientist I and a Graduate Research Assistant at Vanderbilt University, where work focused on atomic scale modeling and electronic structure calculations for energy storage applications. During a graduate internship at Sandia National Laboratories and an NSF International Research Experience at McGill University, Casey conducted density functional theory calculations related to battery and photovoltaic materials. Additionally, experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant involved guiding laboratory experiments and coordinating multidisciplinary research projects. Casey holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Vanderbilt University and a B.S. in Physics from Austin Peay State University.
